In 1846, the Little family moved to northeast Mississippi and located on a track of land that is now called Little Creek Ranch. Originally, the farm consisted of five hundred acres of rolling hills and bottom land with creeks and streams. Over the years, half the land was cleared for pasture and farm land while the other half remains in timber. Little Creek has five lakes for fishing and for watering of the cattle and horses.
As time passed, the family grew, and the farm was split into several parts. Some of the land was sold to people outside the family. Today, Little Creek Ranch consists of most of the original farm. When visiting Little Creek, you must see our old horse-drawn equipment that will take you back to the 1800's. We are also planning to build a replica of the Little family home (circa 1875) on the old home place, complete with dated furnishings.
