Great River Road State Park ( Rosedale )
Situated inside the Mississippi River levee and bordered by the majestic river on its western edge, Great River Road State Park offers magnificent views of the ‘Father of Waters’ from a setting unmatched in natural beauty. The focal point of the park is a 75-foot high overlook tower, which provides panoramic views of the Mississippi River as well as being the ideal spot for a picnic. The park is named for the Great River Road, a scenic parkway that follows the Mississippi from its beginning as a small Canadian creek to its end at the Gulf of Mexico. The Park office is open from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm daily
Developed Camping - The 61 sites available for RV / tenting camping feature picnic tables, grills, and electrical and water hook-ups. A bathhouse with hot showers and laundry facilities and a central sewage dumping station are located in the developed camping area. A limited number of campsites are set aside for advance reservations. The remainder are filled on a first-come, first-served basis
