Antebellum Music Room Bed & Breakfast at the Joseph Newman Stone House ( Natchez )
Rare antique maps and prints adorn the walls of this unique Natchez bed and breakfast inn, outstanding for its antebellum origins as a private billiard hall built in the style of a Greek temple, as well as for its rare pocket doors with ornamental glasswork. The house was built by David Stanton, whose brother built world-famous Stanton Hall, also located in historic downtown Natchez. Acquired in 1877 by J. N. Stone, the house has remained in the Stone family for over 130 years, and is chock full of Natchez family portraits and antiques.
